Born in Nova Scotia Canada, the son of a Canadian banker and an English actress/music hall performer, Brian was raised and schooled in England. Following his academic education he studied art and photography before returning to Canada where he studied film production and drama while ascending the ranks of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's film department. In 1978 he became a drama Director of Photography and to date has photographed over two hundred USA, Canadian and International productions, many having received international recognition and awards.With a keen sense of dramatics and an imaginative visual style, Brian brings a practical and educated knowledge of drama, life and visual story telling to establish mood and enhance the photographic design of the diverse productions he is assigned to. His many years of creative experience in feature films, television drama, documentaries, cinematography, still photography and film making have won him a substantial reputation and respect within the film and television communities, this in turn has kept him one of North America's busiest entertainment professionals. Based in California and Vancouver & Toronto Canada, Brian's assignments take him across the continent and around the world.
